Since it's release on Friday, Adele's new blockbuster video for her haunting single "Hello" has obtained over 95 million views on YouTube. Take that, Justin Bieber!
And now the 27-year-old British songstress has revealed who was the inspiration behind the power ballad's devastating lyrics ... and it's not an ex-boyfriend.
"Oh, god no. That's over and done with, thank f***. That's been over and done with for f***ing years," she told i-D magazine. "No, it's not about anyone specifically. It's about friends, ex-boyfriends, it's about myself, it's about my family. It's also about my fans as well. I feel like everyone thinks I'm so far away and I'm not."
So while the Grammy winner didn't name names, the one man who does have her heart is fiancé Simon Koneci.
Koneci - who is the founder of eco-friendly bottled water Life Water - has no problem with Adele singing about her prior romantic grievances.
"We're like in a solid relationship and he's my soul mate and my best mate, and he sees it as my art and my outlet and something that I did before him," the singer told E! recently.
Together since 2011, Adele and Simon are also the proud parents of three-year-old son, Angelo.
And with "Hello" set to top the Billboard charts, the powerhouse hitmaker is sure to be busy for the next several months with the November 20th release of her first album in four years, 25.
