Amber Heard wants everyone to be able to live for themselves, without labels.
The actress, who is married to Johnny Depp, has been doing the rounds thanks to her starring role in Magic Mike XXL and it seems she's just as much of an open book now as she was when she came out as bisexual in 2010.
"I don’t want to have to deny my sexuality in order to be me. But I don’t want to have to be defined by it," she said in an interview with The Times.
"I’m fundamentally opposed to trying to edit myself to be palatable or popular. I don’t give a f---. I fight, but I shouldn’t have to. I personally think that if you deny something or if you hide something you’re inadvertently admitting it’s wrong. I hate the idea of a label just as much as anyone else, but I’m with who I’m with."
The Rum Diary star also revealed that her Magic Mike character being "in a girl period" was her idea and that the movie's "reversed gender roles" are a fresh of breath air.
"It's a film about men seeking sexual attention," she says of the stripper flick. "It gives the power position to women. My character's function has nothing to do with her sexuality."
