"We're just really, really good friends," she told hosts Billy Bush and Liz Hernandez.
"Caitlyn and I are really good friends. I really love her a lot, and it's been amazing being by her side through this whole process."
Despite not having a love connection with Jenner, Candis reiterated that she's attracted to men and someone like Jon Stewart is more her type.
"We believe in the same things, I guess. Sense of humor, politically on the right view," she added.
The former Dirty Sexy Money star also elaborated on the criticism that Caitlyn's transition has been more like a fairytale compared to what many other transgender men and women go through.
"She's lived her whole life being transgender but never being able to do anything about it," Cayne said. "That's just as hard as somebody like me, who at 24 decided that's what I wanted to do with my life in order to be okay with things. So I went through other struggles, but she did also."
Candis and Caitlyn's platonic friendship continues when I Am Cait airs Sunday at 8pm on E!
