Hayden Panettiere has checked into a treatment facility as she continues to deal with the effects of postpartum depression.
"Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time,” a rep for the actress told People.
The 26-year-old and fiance Wladimir Klitschko welcomed their daughter Kaya on December 9, 2014.
It was just last month that Hayden revealed her struggles during an appearance on Live with Kelly & Michael.
"It's something a lot of women experience. When [you are told] about postpartum depression, you think it's 'I feel negative feelings towards my child; I want to injure or hurt my child.' I've never, ever had those feelings. Some women do," she explained. "But you don't realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It's something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they're not alone, and that it does heal."
Following the interview, it had appeared Hayden's dark days were behind her.
Coincidentally, Panettiere's character on Nashville, pop country diva Juliette Barnes, is also battling postpartum depression on the ABC series.
Prior to checking into treatment, Hayden seemed in good spirits over the weekend and shared a snap proclaiming how she was feeling like her old self again.
