Only fools rush in! That's according to one love expert who claims that divorce may actually be saving marriage. Why? Because so many people are afraid of being part of the 40-50% of couples who go through it, that they're are waiting longer to get married.
According to Business Insider, Helen Fisher is an Indiana University anthropologist and human behavior expert who has spent decades studying all aspects of love and relationships. She recommends that couples wait at least two years before tying the knot.
The reason? Two years lets you go through all the usual happenings of a year - from holidays with the fam to finances - and wait out those intense early feelings that can cloud your judgement.
