#ICYMI:Josh Duggar is the eldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the patriarchs on TLC's hit docuseries 19 Kids and Counting. The show was canceled this past July after news broke that Duggar, 27, had cheated on his wife Anna with a porn star and used the affair-seeking website Ashley Madison.
And even though 19 Kids won't live to see another day, TLC is bringing some of the Duggar clan back to TV in its new limited series Jill and Jessa: Counting On.
“It was definitely a hard thing,” says Anna carefully in the video preview below. “I think it is such a betrayal for a spouse to go through what we’re walking through … It was hard to realize that it was such a public thing, and so, not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal for those who call themselves Christian.”
You'll notice she avoids talking specifically about the details of Josh's sex scandal. Duggar has also seemingly left her reaction to the drama in God's hands.
“How could this happen in our marriage?” she asks the camera. “Josh was my first love, my one and only, but I knew that my only hope was to cling to my faith, because I knew if I went off of what I was feeling, I would turn a mess into a disaster. In the stun and shock of everything, I was just praying to God to help me respond to this.”
