Kate Walsh knows for a fact that she won't be having any biological children.

The former Grey's Anatomy star has revealed that she's already gone through early menopause.

"I don’t have children. I’m not going to have kids. I went through early menopause. That happened," the 48-year-old actress said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos on Wednesday.

Walsh decided to get checked after her older sister went through early menopause and believes that the condition is becoming "more and more common."

"Who knows why,” she added. “It could be a product of our environment, The Pill, we don’t know.”

In the U.S., the average woman experiences "natural" menopause at age 51. When it happens before age 40, it’s considered early menopause.

While she admits things were "bleak" after finding out the news, Kate has since grown from the experience and says it's altered her outlook on life.

"I don’t know if you can actually have it all. I think that is actually this American myth. I wouldn’t call it a dream,” the Bad Judge actress added. “I think it’s a bit of a myth in that it’s this huge pressure. We’re like, ‘Wait a minute, am I less than if I’m not a mother? If I’m not a rock star in my career?’ I don’t know. I’m just rambling. This is what I ponder."

Walsh was previously married to television executive Alex Young. They split in 2008 after 15 months of marriage.

Most recently, she was in a long-term relationship with writer/producer Chris Case, but they brokeup earlier this year.
