Khloe Kardashian Breaks Her Silence, 'I Will Always Love Him'

By Jason Marshall

For anyone who thought Khloe Kardashian's decision to call off her divorce from Lamar Odom meant the couple was getting back together... think again.

FINALLY: Liam Hemsworth Details Failed Engagement

The reality starlet has spoken with People Magazine for her first interview since the former NBA player was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and the interview is eye opening to say the least.

"All I knew was I had to get there," she starts in this week's issue of People. "I had to get to him and make sure he was okay. I hate that he was in that situation. I wouldn't want anybody in that situation, especially someone I love and care about."

And despite the fact that the dissolution of her four year marriage to Odom had been all but finalized this summer, Khloe's love for her husband's well-being outweighed the court of public opinion.

"I pulled back on the divorce because there is no rush for it," she tells the magazine. "For medical decisions and a ton of other things, it's just smarter that it's put on hold. But that does not mean I'm back with Lamar. It's not even in our brains to think about us having a relationship. Only time will tell."

"I loved him always, and I will always love him," she continues. "I don't believe love is fickle. I believe when you love someone, you are allowed to love from afar. You don't have to be with that person in order to love him. I love Lamar, and I'll always be there for him like I promised."

That promise will seemingly continue throughout the expectedly long recovery process Lamar has in store.

"The fact that he woke up was definitely a sigh of relief for everybody," she says. "Every hour is different. It goes up and it goes down but he's awake. He's alive and that's all I wanted, was for him to be okay."

#ICYMI: Lamar has been hospitalized since October 13th. He'd spent the prior weekend in the company of a bevy of prostitutes at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada and seemingly overdosed on drugs. Reports since have claimed cocaine was found in his system and prosecution may result. After spending several days in a coma, Odom awoke and was moved to Cedars-Sinani Hospital in Los Angeles. That's when Kardashian had their still-pending divorce paperwork snuffed out.

At the moment, the state of Lamar's health is still questionable. Although he's woken up, it's being reported that his kidney's have not (and possibly will not) recover - meaning a transplant may be needed.

However that chapter of the story ends, Khloe is adamant that she'll be by her husband's side.

"He has to walk that road by himself, and, most importantly, he has to want to walk that road," she adds. "I will be there supporting him every step of the way."

UPDATE: As has become typical with all things Kardashian, backlash has surrounded the People article mentioned in this story. Khloe has already taken down a few trolls who didn't think before bashing her on Twitter, assumedly for what they saw as an attention grab while a human being lies in a hospital bed.

In response, Khloe had this to say on Twitter:
