They divorced 26 years ago, but Madonna and Sean Penn are still causing a commotion.

During the Brooklyn stop of her sold out Rebel Heart Tour on Saturday, the Queen of Pop took time out from performing her endless barrage of hits and revealed her ex-husband had recently admitted to finally becoming a fan of the Material Girl, reported Us Weekly.

"I did a show at Madison Square Garden the other night if you heard about it. And my ex-husband was there! Could you imagine?," the age-defying 57-year-old recounted to the audience.

"He had been at my show 30 years earlier when I was at Madison Square Garden, and he was very upset with me for wearing a costume that was too revealing. That's not a lie!" she said of her first husband. "Anyway, after the show he wrote me a letter and said he finally appreciates my art. And that is what I have to say about marriage, okay!? Thirty f***ing years later."

Just last week, it was reported that Sean attended Madge's concert and brought along his daughter Dylan. Afterwards, the two-time Oscar winner introduced the 24-year-old to Madonna for the first time. Dylan is one of two children which Sean shares with his ex-wife Robin Wright.

LIKE A VIRGIN: Madonna's Infamous Little Black Book

Back in the '80s, Madonna and Sean endured a very tumultous relationship throughout their four-year-marriage. After being charged with domestic abuse for allegedly holding the music icon captive and "roughing her up" inside their Malibu home, Madonna split from the A-list d-bag in 1989.

The "Like a Virgin" hitmaker would later marry and divorce director Guy Ritchie. While Sean and Robin were together for nearly 20 years before divorcing in 2010.

IT'S OVER: Sean Penn and Charlize Theron Split

Although Internet rumors have speculated that Madge and Sean's recent run-ins could signify a rekindling of their long-dormant relationship, for now it seems the pair are just the nicest exes in the world.

But like Madonna sings, music brings the people together.
