Miranda Lambert Sings About Divorce at ACM Honors

By Johnny Lopez

Splitting from Blake Shelton is music to Miranda Lambert's ears!

Seemingly in good spirits and wearing a bright pink dress, the newly single 31-year-old performed the Loretta Lynn classic about divorce, "Rated X," at the ACM Honors on Tuesday.

DUNZO! Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton Split

The '70s song features the lyrics: "Well if you've been a married woman and things didn't seem to work out / Divorce is the key to bein' loose and free so you're gonna be talked about / Everybody knows that you've loved once so they think you'll love again."

While the country music gala honored Loretta with the Crystal Milestone Award, it's interesting that of the music legend's entire catalog Miranda chose that song.

In July, Lambert and Shelton revealed they had split after four years of marriage.

JUST IMAGINE: Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Would Make the Cutest Couple

The country supercouple released a joint statement saying: ""This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately."

The following month, Miranda opened up about the split during a concert by jokingly telling the crowd: "I wish I've been drinking all day. I deserve it. I just got divorced."

After singing about divorce on Tuesday, Miranda took to social media to belt out a cover of Taylor Swift's revenge anthem "Bad Blood" with some pals.  Check out the adorable video below.
