Chris Pratt-Anna Faris

Chris Pratt & Anna Faris

2007 - current

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris met on the set of their '80s homage comedy Take Me Home Tonight in 2007. In the flick, which wasn’t released until 2011, Anna and Chris played young lovers whose [SPOILER ALERT] spontaneous engagement ends almost as quickly as it happens. And because life loves imitating art, it wasn’t long before the two actors began “coupling up.”

After two years of trips to the beach and public handholding had passed, it was revealed that rumors of an engagement were true. On January 29th, 2009, a rep for the couple confirmed, rather vaguely, that the Scary Movie star and her Parks and Recreation beau had gotten engaged some time in late 2008.

The engagement didn’t last long, though, because Anna and Chris were married that summer in Bali on July 9th, 2009.

Almost three years later, on May 9th, 2012, Anna and Chris officially announced their first pregnancy. Anna’s baby bump made its red carpet debut the following day, at the London premiere of The Dictator.

Born nine weeks early, their son Jack was welcomed into the world on August 25th, 2012. A rep for the couple announced the baby news in a statement saying, "He arrived earlier than expected and will be spending some time in the NICU. The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes and ask that you honor their privacy during this time."

On December 5th, 2014, Chris, whose career had since blown into the stratosphere thanks to Guardians of the Galaxy, opened up about his sons’ ordeal for the first time at an event celebrating the March of Dimes organization. “I made promises in that moment about what kind of dad I wanted to be and I just prayed that he’d live long enough that I could keep them,” he said.
